21 months!

Just 3 short months away from the big #2! Lots of people guess I'm 2 and a half already...must be my big belly! If Jonah doesn't eat all his lunch I'm right there ready and willing to finish it off for him! Especially his crusts. Jonah never eats the crust on his sandwiches, but I can't just let good food go to waste!
My vocabulary has sky rocketed the past few weeks. A couple of my favorite phrases are, "no I had it first" and "give back it's mine". Hmmmm, wonder where I picked those up from? I've been working very hard on leaving the house "hands free"...that means I don't get to take everything I can grab out the door! It was hard at first and I threw a few fits, but now I can proudly say I can do it! Speaking of going out, I love to point out fire trucks, mail trucks, big trucks, garbage trucks, and school buses!
I'm a great sleeper, 2 hour naps and 12-13 hours at night. I love Mama to read to me and rock me to sleep. Sometimes I can coerce her to climb in my crib with me and rub my belly! Who can resist right? I don't give dad the same perks yet. When he puts me down he asks if he can rub my belly or rock me and I politely point to the door and tell him to go.
When I don't get what I want I like to furrow my brow, fold my arms and stick my little lower lip out. Sometimes I even stomp away and put myself in timeout. It's not having the effect I was going for though...will have to think of something different!

Squirrel Class!

So this is me on my way to Squirrel class... Ever since giving up my morning nap my parents have been taking me to church. On the ride there my mom tries to prep me for what's coming, like she's gonna leave me but she'll be back, blah blah blah. Quite frankly I don't want to hear it so I lay my head back and cross my arms!
Then as we get a little closer I start throwing in "NO, no no!" You see, I have a little bit of what do you call it...separation anxiety going on and I never want my Mama to leave! She's a softy so I can usually get her to hang around with me for a while before she heads to church but lately she's just left me crying at the door! Everyone tells her I'll get used to it and it will be easier but 7 weeks later I'm still throwing a fit when she leaves. The ladies that take care of me are real nice but they always tell Mama that as long as no one tries to play with me or talk to me I'm fine...but the second they do I start crying! But there is one good thing about Squirrel class: snack time! I get goldfish and JUICE! Boy do I love that stuff! The last time I had that was when Jonah's tonsils came out...ahh memories! So this week after I survived another class I asked mom for juice as soon as we got back in the car. She laughed and handed me water...what's up with that?

Round 1: the mosquito!

So after we took "Joh" the turtle back to the woods, I ran in to some nasty mosquitoes! Boy do they have a tough right punch! I didn't even see them coming but mom did. She saw one land right on my eyelid. It wasn't until the next morning that I looked like this! Dad got me out of bed and didn't know what to say, but when mom saw me she told dad to call my doctor asap! He said to give me some benedryl and I should be fine. It took a good 3 days for it to get all better but only having one eye didn't slow me down one bit! But from now on I don't leave the house until I'm slathered in "OFF" bug spray! That will teach those little varmints to mess with me! Mom says they like to bite me because I'm so sweet!

"Turtle!"

Mom found this cool turtle the other day and I added a new word to my vocabulary! Jonah was a wee bit afraid to touch it but not me! After we played with it for a while (and thoroughly washed our hands) we went on a hike in the woods and let it go.

While in the woods I met up with some nasty mosquitoes and unfortunately they got the best of me...photos to come soon!

Beach Bum Baby!

Good thing mom signed me up for swim lessons because I sure do love the water! I have no fear either. I love to kick my feet out from under me and plop right down in the water with a big splash! Mom had to make sure I stayed in the shallow water because it didn't phase me if I went under. Here are a few pictures of our fun day at the lake!

Fun Depot!

This place rocks! I had so much fun chasing Jonah around and bouncing on the soft pads. My favorite by far was the slides though! The first time I went down my eyes were as big as saucers but after that it was all smiles and giggles from me!

Months 19 and 20!

20 months
19 months

I've been a little busy and fallen behind on my b-ball pics lately but hopefully I'll be back on track from now on! Stats update: 30 lbs, and 9 teeth! I love to run, jump and test the limits on everything mom and dad say. I still have to have something in each hand almost at all times. When we leave the house I like to run as fast as I can to gather as many toys as possible. Dad is working on getting me to only take one thing out of the house...we'll see who wins this battle! I take one nap a day and I love to rock with Mama. Sometimes I even convince her to get in my crib with me at bedtime. Speaking of cribs, I can climb out of mine now! The first time I told mom I fell out but I've done it a couple more times and it's pretty easy now. I only want out when I'm mad... most of the time I like going to bed, I'm a big fan of sleeping! I'm such a big boy. I insist on sitting in a regular chair like everyone else now and I can go up and down stairs without any help. Another funny tidbit is when I'm in the bath with Jonah, dad will ask us who wants to get a hair wash first and I always pipe up and say, "Jo Jo!" Jonah doesn't like this so much but mom and dad get a kick out of it!
Stay tuned for more blogs, I've still got some catching up to do!

Ma's Birthday!

For Ma's birthday we took her to see a lighthouse (Jonah's request) and then to the beach! I fell in the water shortly after we got there but that didn't stop me one bit! There were tons of seagulls and pelicans there that were really cool. I enjoyed playing in the sand with Ma and picking up crab shells. I was scared of all the bird feathers on the sand though.

After lots of playing we hit the first restaurant we came to and ate some less than desirable pizza... but the ice cream made up for that! Yum-Yum-Chup!
Then it was back to Ma and Pa's house to put candles on the cake, sing "Happy Birthday" and eat!

Happy Birthday Ma! So glad we could spend it with you! We love you!

Picnic at the Lake

Miss Mikalah

My third "date" in 2 weeks, whew! Dinner (blueberries), entertainment (water table) and a hug to cap off the day!

Mommy took me to play with Mikalah and I had such a good time. She has all the things a guy could ever want right in her back yard! She has a playset, fresh blueberries and water toys! And she's really cute! My mom wishes we lived closer to her mom!
