16 months

Go Zags! Dad and I might be the only Gonzaga fans in this neck of the woods...and what a coincidence that they play the Tarheels on my month-day! I won't be able to watch because it comes on so late but you can bet my daddy will be up! I had to wear my bulldog clothes for this photo shoot!
I'm quite the chatter box these days. I try to say everything my parents say and I'm picking up lots of words...mostly revolving around food like cheese, banana, bagel, cracker (which I call da-da)...that gets a little confusing until I start screaming it, then they understand...who wants Dad when I can have a tasty cracker?! I can also say phone, shoes, buba ba (bubble bath), other side (don't ask), outside, keys, and the list goes on! I'm also learning some body parts. I can point to my ears, hair, tongue, nose, feet and belly. Not always on command, just whenever I feel like humoring mom!
I love to wrestle Jonah and often tackle him for no reason. I'm a strong boy, I just throw my weight on him and down he goes! Going outside is my favorite thing to do and since the weather is warmer we can go out more often. Whenever we are coming home from somewhere I try to stay out as long as possible, running from mom, refusing to come to the door, you know...all the stalling tactics. This usually ends with mom carrying me inside struggling and screaming to get free. A guy's gotta try!
Whenever anyone figures out what I am talking about or asking for I like to giggle. It's my way of saying, "yes!"...finally!
Rumor has it that mom is trying to *gasp* wean me! She thinks that if I can ask for it, I may be too old! Whatever.
I also love to point out cars and trucks which I call "vroom vroom" and "chu". It's pretty exciting seeing so many. Jonah likes to correct me because I think most of the vehicles are trucks but he likes to be more specific by telling me they are actually vans, garbage trucks, etc. He thinks he knows everything!
*In this picture dad was trying to get me to smile by jumping up and down so I stood up and jumped on the chair. It was a keeper!

St. Paddy's day!

Happy St. Patrick's day! I was not a big fan of my rainbow hat but the green dinner was yum yum chup!
Mom even let me try the jello and after one bite I didn't want anything else!

Good dinner mom!

I like to clap these days to show my stamp of approval. Whenever I ask for something and my parents guess right I laugh and clap! Tonight mom cooked the most delicious homemade pizza and I loved it!

What a week...

...and it's only Wednesday!
After my well baby check up last week things just went down hill (darn waiting rooms filled with sick kids). Mom had to take me in to the sick clinic yesterday because of a hacking cough that kept me up all night. Turns out I have croup! Nasty stuff that is. It's much worse when I'm trying to sleep so my naps have been shorter and I just haven't felt like myself. In fact if anything makes me mad I stomp off and throw myself onto the floor and cry. I know, it's hard to imagine coming from this sweet little guy right? Needless to say mom and I haven't gotten much sleep the past couple of days but I'm on some good medication now that should help soon. And this is nothing compared to poor Jonah. He has a fever and a rash on top of the sickness that he's taking antibiotics for!
This picture shows me in a classic sleepy position. In the evenings I like to stand on my head if I'm really tired. Another good one is to walk with my head tilted way back up at the ceiling. This is when my parents know it's time to start the bath!

Sunshine!

Yeah for sunshine! I love to go outside and this weekend could not have been more perfect! I got to run around a soccer field at Daddy's school and play with a cute girl named Kathryn. She liked to hold my hand and show me around.

My stats

My wellness check up yesterday started off great. I am 31.5 inches tall (75%), I weigh 23lbs,13 oz. (50%) and my head circumference is 18.75 inches (75%). My mom's only concern was that I don't drink cow's milk but my doctor said as long as I'm eating yogurt and cheese then I'm okay. Then came the bad part...3 shots! I took the first one like a man but the next two hurt! I stomped around to let that nurse know she was not my friend anymore.
